The Geoff Ogilvy Foundation has two main objectives:
> To teach young Australians how to play golf, regardless of the financial means.
> To assist younger golfers establish a career in golf at the elite level.
OPEN UP THE FAIRWAYS
The Foundation will run training programs in schools, teaching young golfers how to play.
We will ensure equipment is available and that young people experience the joys of the game - across the country.
ENABLING ACCESS IS THE CLEAR GOAL
It's early days and we are still to refine the concept, but we are going to work hard to firm up the plans. We look forward to reporting to those interested in 2020.
SUPPORT THE NEXT GENERATION OF TALENTED PLAYERS
The Foundation is already supporting two young professionals. We pay tournament fees and those required by the qualifying school.
Both are focusing on their games, unencumbered by financial and associated pressures of the life on the road.
We plan to build this audacious beginning by helping others. We will :
> Identify those with potential to take the next step - from social to pro
> Provide financial support, beyond the players own means
> Offer ongoing mentoring from experts and access Geoff's valuable contacts
> Provide coaching resources
> Pay tournament entry expenses until winnings kick in.

MAKE A TAX-DEDUCTABLE GIFT
The Geoff Ogilvy Foundation has been registered with the Federal Government's Australian Sports Foundation. This initiative assists sporting organisations to raise funds through donations which are tax deductible under the Income Tax Assessment Act. As part of the Australian Sports Foundations requirements, the organisation must nominate and define projects these funds are to be used for.
